This Privacy Policy sets out our commitment to protecting the privacy of personal information provided to us, or otherwise collected by us, offline or online, including through this website, email, or other online platforms. In this Privacy Policy we, us or our means Northern Beaches Psychology Pty Ltd ABN 20 147 046 893. When we collect, store and use your personal information, we do so in accordance with the rules set down in the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act). This policy does not apply to clients who access face to face therapy services from Northern Beaches Psychology Pty Ltd. The management of personal information policy for clients who access face to face therapy services can be obtained by contacting the Northern Beaches Psychology Pty Ltd practice.

Personal information: The types of personal information or personal data we may collect about you include:

·       your contact details, including email address, mailing address, street address and/or telephone number;

·       your credit card details;

·       information you provide to us through customer surveys;

·       information you provide to us through participation in online workshops

·       details of products and services we have provided to you and/or that you have enquired about, and our response to you;

·       Northern Beaches Psychology Pty Ltd may aggregate and use non-personally identifiable data Northern Beaches Psychology Pty Ltd has collected from you and can manually de-identify personal information to create a non-personally identifiable dataset. This data will in no way identify you or any other individual. Northern Beaches Psychology Pty Ltd may use this aggregated non-personally identifiable data to:

·       assist us to better understand how our customers are using our services;

·       provide our customers with further information regarding the uses and benefits of the services;

·       enhance business productivity; and

·       otherwise to improve our services.

 Consequence of not providing personal information

If the you do not wish for your personal information to be collected in a way anticipated by this Privacy Policy, Northern Beaches Psychology Pty Ltd may not be in a position to provide products and services to you. You may request to be anonymous or to use a pseudonym when you are providing personal information, however this will not be possible when providing payment.

 Disclosure of personal information to third parties

We may disclose personal information to:

·       risk management services (including liaising with our insurers and legal representatives);

·       third parties to collect and process data, such as Convertkit and Kajabi or other relevant businesses. This may include parties that store data outside of Australia.

Where the disclosure of your personal information is solely subject to Australian privacy laws (and not subject to the GDPR), you acknowledge that we are not required to ensure that those third parties comply with Australian privacy laws.

How we treat personal information that is also sensitive information

Sensitive information is a sub-set of personal information that is given a higher level of protection under the Australian Privacy Principles. Sensitive information means information relating to your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, trade union or other professional associations or memberships, philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, sexual practices or sex life, criminal records, health information or biometric information. Provided you consent, your sensitive information may only be used and disclosed for purposes relating to the primary purpose for which the sensitive information was collected. Sensitive information may also be used or disclosed if required or authorised by law.

Unsubscribe: To unsubscribe from our e-mail database or opt-out of communications (including marketing communications), please contact us using the details below or opt-out using the opt-out facilities provided in the communication.

As our website is linked to the Internet, and the Internet is inherently insecure, we cannot provide any assurance regarding the security of transmission of information you communicate to us online.  We also cannot guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the Internet. If you participate in a discussion forum, chat room or webinar, you should be aware that the information you provide there will be made broadly available to others, potentially inside or outside Northern Beaches Psychology Pty Ltd, who have access to that discussion forum or chat room or webinar. Also, please recognise that individual forums and chat rooms may have additional rules and conditions. Each participant’s opinion on a forum or chat room is his or her own and should not be considered as reflecting the opinion of Kirstin Barchia or Northern Beaches Psychology Pty Ltd. Please be advised that for any forums or Webinars you attend, recordings can be enabled by a meeting or webinar host. Storage

We are committed to ensuring that the personal information we collect is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures. Where possible information is deidentified and/or encrypted of personal information[KB7] , and password protection is also used to safeguard and secure personal information and protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
