SERVICES
Kirstin is focused on helping the people she works with feel comfortable and at ease. She adapts her approach when working with clients of different ages for example using drawing and play with young children. She knows that adolescents often need some time to feel comfortable and has a non-confrontational approach to getting to know the young people she works with. Kirstin understands that adults also need time to feel at ease and allows them the space to ask questions and present their concerns. Kirstin has a strengths based approach to working with people of all ages and is just as concerned with the areas of strength and passion of the individuals she works with as the problems they come with.
Children
Kirstin uses play to engage children in therapy. Children’s difficulties are viewed in the context of their family, school and social environment. Along with the child who is experiencing difficulties, parents and siblings are invited to be a part of the initial therapy appointment….
Adolescents
